Casino items from Las Vegas will be auctioned off
starting today for at least $1 million in
the biggest legitimate opening
bid in eBay history.
The casino
items include a large collection of
casino chips that were used in
the era when gangsters, starlets, and
the Rat Pack ruled the casino tables.
About 6,800 poker
chips and tokens acquired by a
private Denver businessman over
the years is up for sale to the
highest bidder. The 10 day
online auction of casino items
starts at 6PM Eastern today.
Some casino aficionados
believe the casino collection up
for bidding is worth between 2
and 3 million dollars.
The
collection includes interesting
items such as pieces of earth
and actual casino from circa
1940's casinos. This
casino collection's vibrant bits
of clay have history indeed.
Some were taken from casinos
destroyed by fires or
demolitions.
