World Series
stopping at Rio this year
June 2
Many of us online casino
gamblers and all online poker players love to
keep tabs on who is winning big in the world of
poker. The World Series of Poker tournament held
in Las Vegas is no exception.
Thanks to the recent wide spread popularity
of many tournaments, it seems that the high
demand to play poker has spilled-over into
online casinos. Thousands of players looking for
a good game have learned to play online at their
favorite online casino, perhaps saving a trip to
Vegas.
Poker's largest yearly
tournament is coming back to Vegas, but the
usual venue of Binion's is being shared with the
Rio (a much larger space due to huge turnouts).
The Rio is barely off the Strip and very popular
with locals.
Also, there are quite a few extra additions
to the 36th annual World Series of Poker, which
starts today. A larger grand prize - more than
the five million dollars last years winner
received, more players, and at least the last 9
finalists will take home more than one million
dollars
This year's event is starting later in the
year, during off-season months.
The official kick-of of the event will have
dealers at the Rio beginning play at 12PM. All
but the last two days of the Series will be held
at the Rio, with the remainder being played-out
at Binion's.
All of the poker tournament events
are open to the pubic at no charge. Keep in
mind, not very much room will be available for
spectators. Until ESPN starts showing the tail
end of the tournament in the fall, it is
recommended that you keep posted to your
favorite online casino for the latest news.
After winning an online poker tournament in
2003,
Chris Moneymaker took home the grand prize of
the World Series of Poker.
Now, thousands of online gamblers are looking to
do the same.
