This weekend,
Jennifer Tilly, Ben Affleck, and Toby
McGuire are among the celebrities
taking-on the true masters of poker. The
Legends of Poker event at the Bicycle
Casino in Bell Gardens, California is
sure to be a huge poker playing event.
Because there is
such an interest from online casino and
online poker players regarding this
event, Sportsbook.com has posted odds
on this year's big names.
Such poker
fan favorites as Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen
and Daniel Negreanu have pretty good
odds. Ivey has odds of 66 to 1.
Following Ivey and all having 80 to 1
odds we have Hansen, Negreanu, Layne
Flack, Phil Hellmuth, Howard Lederer and
Marcel Luske.
As far as
celebrities are involved, odds for Tilly,
Affleck, and McGuire are all at 800 to
1. Each of these fine Hollywood players
has a long-shot at becoming victorious,
but they prove fun to follow.
Because poker has
become wildly popular in the US (not to
mention everywhere else online), it
really comes as no real surprise to see
Hollywood types playing in these events.
Seeing someone like Jennifer Tilly at
the final table battling against players
such as Ivey would prove very
interesting, not to mention exciting.
Let us not forget
the non-Hollywood female players that
have rocked the poker table. Jennifer
Harman, Kathy Liebert and Annie Duke are
the highest rated women in the field,
each have 150 to 1 odds of winning the
Legends of Poker.
The tournament
begins on Saturday, August 27. The final
table will be played on Wednesday,
